I’m relatively new to photography, having only just acquired my first camera. Wildlife and nature are passions of mine. So, naturally my photographic instincts turn my camera towards animals, birds, and plants. Armed with a D3100, and various lenses, I can usually be found crawling around in the bushes whilst stalking various creatures.

Taking my Contax G2 everywhere with me on my trips, the photographs that make up my tumblr, ‘Shot by Rose’, are of people, city streets, cityscapes/landscapes, architecture and art. Sometimes I think about the ‘concept’ and sometimes I just find the scene so interesting that I can’t believe my luck!

I had the honour of photographing Dicko recently, in creating a set of imagery to be used for Watercooler Talent and Media, a company which he co-founded. Although Dicko is probably most well know as the “bastard judge” on Australian Idol, I could not have worked with a more friendly and easy going person. To top it off he later told me I shot some of the best portraits he’s ever had. This is one of my favourite photographs from the day.
